Human Resources Management Service (HRMS)
The main function of the Human Resources Management Service (HRMS), working in partnership with Programme Managers, is to attract and retain highest quality staff whose skills are in line with the operational priorities of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV). Moreover, HRMS is responsible for helping staff members to develop their potential and career and, at the same time, contribute to the success of the Organization. The services provided include: - Formulation of human resources management policies and provision of policy advice;
- Recruitment, placement and promotion of staff for UNOV, UNODC as well as management of the organizational mobility scheme;
- Administration of contracts and entitlements for all UNOV and UNODC staff;
- Promoting a continuous learning culture, competency development and professional excellence to meet the dynamic needs of UNOV and UNODC;
- Provision of career counselling;
- Supporting the informal mechanisms to ensure resolution of grievances at an earlier stage.
