The main function of the Financial Resources Management Service (FRMS) is to provide, at minimal cost, effective financial services to United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the programmes and activities supported by them.

The services provided include:

• Effecting all financial transactions on behalf of UNOV and UNODC;
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records of all transactions undertaken on behalf of UNOV and UNODC;
• Providing programme managers with advice on the optimal use of the financial, staff and other resources;
• Safeguarding the financial resources placed at the disposal of UNOV and UNODC.
