VIENNA, 4 August (UN Information Service) - Media accreditation for the Fifteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, hosted by the Government of the United Arab Emirates, is now open. The Crime Congress is taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi from 26 September to 1 October 2026.
Representatives of the media wishing to cover the Crime Congress are required to accredit in advance and registration closes on 23 September 2026. Criteria for media accreditation and information on the documents required are available here.

The Congress, under the theme ‘Protecting People and Planet in the Digital Age’, brings together a diverse gathering of governments, civil society, academia and experts, to examine the interconnectedness of crime prevention, criminal justice, the rule of law and digital transformation and consider practical, forward-looking solutions to help deliver security, justice and prosperity for all.
Crime congresses have been held every five years since 1955 in different parts of the world and have contributed to shaping international and domestic policies and promoting novel thinking and approaches to criminal justice.
Facilities at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre for media representatives will include a press centre and a press briefing room.
